Lovely photo. The coaches in my family are in the “freeze your butt off on the sidelines in March” as I type.

Even though I have a mini van and a gaggle of kids, I am not actually a ‘soccer mom’. My daughter has been begging to learn to play… I may have to let her.

And they are so cute in the net. ๐Ÿ™‚

My family tried soccer and rejected it. Everyone finds their own niche. My girls swim, so I get the pleasure of wet, sauna-like conditions year-round. I do NOT have the hair type for that. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ellen

We are not playing soccer this spring. I know — that sounds unbelievable. But things were starting to be manageable this winter with no sports so I thought why make ourselves crazy? But I do love those beautiful spring afternoons at the soccer field those are great.

    adorable!!!

My girls have rejected soccer: the eldest is like me, she found all of the running around and dodging the scary ball a bit too much, the middle kid loved it until a ball walloped her in the stomach. She left and refuses to revisit it. We have higher hopes for our son, 5. Which reminds me, I should sign him up, right?!

Maybe you should let the 5 year-old wait a year, so that the ball doesn’t look as big and scary? I’m going to get Erin to look at this one because we do play soccer either. We went with swim team, no balls. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ellen
