I love this photo caption! Love it. I am coming to DC at the end of April for Mom Congress – a convention for parents involved in their children’s education. Can’t wait to see that monument myself! Kate F. (@katefineske) recently posted..And They Lived Happily Ever After…
D.C. is so pretty in the springtime. Where are you coming from?
The Washington Monument is a little bit of a joke with my family. Every time we go to D.C., we do our thing and then we are like, we should go up in the Washington Monument and invariably the tickets are sold out. You can get them ahead of time online, but we never want to commit. lol This has been going on for 2 decades with my husband and one decade with my kids. Seriously. AND NOW, it is closed due to structural damage due to the earthquake. Or at least I think it still is. I guess I’ll find out the next time we wander up to it. Ellen
Ohio. It has been YEARS since I have visited DC. My sister now lives there so planning a visit with her too. Note to self: Pre-purchase Washington Monument tickets 🙂 Kate F. (@katefineske) recently posted..And They Lived Happily Ever After…
I love it up there. We’ve been a few times, even once the week after the cherry blossoms. They were still fabulous, and there were far fewer people. Remember the year a couple of beavers were chopping down the cherry trees? Was that not just the best thing ever?
I forgot about the beavers! Ha!
And thank you. I was nearly lying on the sidewalk in front of the Museum of American History to take it. My husband was thrilled. 🙂 Ellen
