This is a hearty, stick-to-your-ribs kind of casserole or as they say in the Midwest, hotdish. It’s my youngest daughter’s favorite. She loves tater tots, but then again, who doesn’t? –Ellen
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup skim milk
1 bag of Ore-Ida Tater Tots or Crispy Crowns (I prefer Crispy Crowns)
1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13×9 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
2. Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Place meat and onion in the casserole dish.
3 Mix soup and milk. Mix in with meat in casserole dish.
4. Top with as many tots as possible while keeping them in a single layer. Sprinkle cheese on top.
5. Bake for 50 minutes or until bubbly and potatoes are crisp.
