Throwing it out there: this one is the winner, the best, THE apple cake most deserving of your à la mode and extra Weight Watchers points. It’s easy, simple, and moist too.
In one medium bowl, mix:
4 apples with skins removed and sliced very thin
2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
5 tablespoons sugar
In another large bowl, mix:
3 cups unsifted flour
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs unbeaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 teaspoons baking powder
7 tablespoons orange juice
Beat by hand until smooth. Batter will be very thick.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bundt pan.
Alternate layers of batter and apples ending up with batter on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
