A tender moment while snuggling with Eddie (4) at bedtime . . .
Eddie – You didn’t feed me dinner.
Erin – You totally had dinner when we went through the McDonald’s drive-thru on the way to pick the big kids up.
Eddie – It doesn’t count if we don’t sit around the table and I get to share my stories.
Thank you for reading this edition of When Your Own Words Come Back and Bite You In Your Butt.
Awww!!! But I had to laugh.
And if it makes you feel any better today I wrote about how I fed them Eggos with a side of high fructose corn syrup. They’ll live 🙂
That really does make me feel better! Thanks! Erin
I don’t know whether to laugh or melt into a puddle of good, because that’s cute. Don’t you love it when kids outsmart us? Well, maybe LOVE is a strong word 😉

Darn! I hate when they call us out like that!
Ugh…I hate those moments. Keeping us honest though…I guess. At least it’s a sign that listening is occuring. Thanks for stopping at Take 10 during Finding the Funny. Enjoying your blog!

Thanks, Tricia. Right back at ya! Erin
Super sweet. We were moving this week and we fed our kids fast food and ate it inside the Uhaul truck at like 7 pm. We were feeling kind of like suck rock parents until our kids woke up the next morning and told us that was the best dinner ever!

This may be my favorite Sensible Moms post. It’s definitely top five and expresses exactly why I try to “have dinner” every night even if it be 9 p.m. Happiest Mother’s Day to you both!
Aw, Sperk, that means a lot. Happy Mother’s Day to you! Erin

Sitting here laughing instead of working. But now, alas, I must go write about boring technology instead of reading your hysterical blog.
Thanks for the giggles!
